CCCV member Ken Bradley-White has for sale his 1997 Citroen Xantia 2.0i 16v. He comments:
I bought this vehicle during my working holiday in Australia back in 2019. Since that time I've enjoyed taking it for adventures big and small. In the times I've been in the UK it's been a second car to my friends in the suburbs of Melbourne. They now have a second car of their own, and sadly it's time for me to find it a new owner.
While it's been in my ownership it's had lots of maintenance with both the local mechanic Salman as well as Wolfgang of the CCCV. Updates include a replacement of the entire exhaust including catalytic converter, a fresh timing belt and water pump, new brake pads all round, and several oil changes. Its hydraulic system has had something of an overhaul with a full set of new spheres and the infamous T pieces replaced to prevent LHM leaks. I've made sure it's been given the maintenance it deserves.
A couple of issues which I haven't yet resolved are:
Aside from that it has minor cosmetic issues with the clearcoat peeling in places, but the interior is almost pristine.
Given I'm now back in the UK it's unfortunately difficult for me to get it through a new roadworthy inspection in advance of the sale.
This vehicle has been close to my heart over the years and it's a reluctant sale of my childhood dream only because of being 20,000km away. My hope with the sale is that it goes on to be used and loved by someone as much as I have, by someone who will treasure it for the classic it is, and will allow it to live the life it deserves.
