Classified ads: For Swap

Members may place advertisements for items for sale, for give away and wanted on the Club website. In addition to placement on the Club's website, an email will be broadcast to all members alerting them to the placement of the advertisement. This is a free service for members. Please note, though, that this free advertising service is limited to items directly connected to Citroëns. That is, in general terms, Citroën vehicles, parts, accessories, memorabilia and magazines, books, manuals and the like which relate to Citroëns. A non-member wishing to place a Citroën related advertisement for free will first need to join the Club, otherwise they will be required to pay the fee applying to non-Citro�n related advertisements, as detailed in the paragraph following.

Advertisements by private individuals, whether a Club member or non-member, for items, or services, that are not directly Citro�n related will be accepted at the absolute discretion of the Club committee on the payment of a fee of $40.00, for which fee the advertisement will be run for three months on the Club's website, plus the sending of a broadcast email to all members alerting them to the placement of the advertisement . After three months the advertisement will be taken down unless the advertiser requests an extension and pays another $40.00 fee for a further three months of listing.

For Club members' advertisements the same listing condition as above will apply. That is the advertisement will be run for three months on the Club website, after which they will be taken down unless a request to extend is received.

Please particularly note that VicRoads regulations require that advertisements that we run for cars for sale must include the price sought and the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), unless the vehicle is pre the issue of a VIN in which case and engine and/or chassis number must be supplied.

The Club welcomes advertisements from businesses for commercial goods and services, the cost for which will be subject to agreement depending on the size, layout and prominence required.

Requests for advertisement placements should be made through the Contact Us page and must include the advertiser's name, telephone number and an email address (but if, for any reason, an advertiser does not want any of these contact details published the Club should be advised of this when the advertisement request is made).

To avoid frustration to both advertisers and potential customers, please contact us if the advert is to be withdrawn during the three month publishing period because the sale, give away, or wanted, is, for whatever reason, no longer applicable.

SCAM ALERT: We have been alerted to instances of scammers using Club advertisement information to contact members to offer bogus goods and services. These scammers have appeared to be knowledgeable of matters Citro�n and therefore seemed plausible. So, be wary of contacts from outside Club members and particularly if the contact originates from outside of Australia.
