For sale – 1986 Citroën 2CV Charleston

Member Patrick Miller has for sale his 1986 Citroën 2CV Charleston.  He comments:

I’ve decided to part with my beloved 2CV as I just don’t drive it as much as I thought I would.  I feel it should be in the hands of someone who will take it out regularly to have fun and show off this beautiful and strange car.

The vehicle is in good condition and runs well, the paint, in particular, is original and is in excellent condition.  I keep the oil fresh and the battery topped up.  It does feature an analogue thermometer that gives the temperature in the engine bay, as well as what I believe is an aftermarket cabin light.  It should be noted that there are two wear spots in the paint where the bonnet has rubbed against the fenders, and one of the pins for the passenger side mud guard has torn through.

At the time of my purchase (2022) the only service item was a fuel filter and that was after an all day drive from Sydney.  Since then it has been driven approximately once per month on local roads for day trips.

I am the third owner, the original owner owned it for the vast majority of it’s life before passing it on to the mechanic I picked it up from in NSW.  To my knowledge it has always been stored in garages, certainly for the duration of my stewardship.”
