CCCV welcomes Evan Gale from Jay Leno’s Garage as guest speaker tonight.
(Evan will have car care products on sale)

Here’s a message Evan sent us:

Hi members, my name is Evan, I’m from Jay Leno’s Garage Australia, we look after Jay’s new range of advanced vehicle care products in Australia.
Weekly, we get Facebook messages and emails from people letting us know they have a special car for sale that Jay would love and want to buy.
Last year, we attended the VHRR Phillip Island Classic with our products and got speaking to a gentleman by the name of Janis from Adelaide. He said that he had emailed the garage a while back to see if Jay would like his Citroen 2CV but never heard back. You can only imagine the number of emails they get each day with these requests and other topics.
He told us that it is a rare Citroën 2CV Hoffmann-design two-seater, and is stored at his brother’s place in northern Los Angeles. 
Then we got talking further and found out he was the Ambassador at the United Nations in New York (1997-2001) representing Latvia and the World Health Organisation. He sometimes used the car as his ‘ambassadorial limousine’.
He asked us if we could contact Jay to see if is he is interested in having the car for permanent display at Jay’s Garage, and all he would like from Jay in return would be to make a donation to an animal welfare shelter in LA. So we contacted Jay, and a couple of days later, Jay drove to his brother’s house to see the car, loved it, and drove it back to the garage.
Our team at the garage spent a few days detailing the car and it looks new again as you can see in the pictures.
