The organisers of this event have provided the information following.
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive, or “DGD”, is an event that combines the passion for classic (pre-1980) cars with the opportunity to drive them for a good cause. Based upon the foundation of its two-wheeled sibling “The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride”, the DGD is founded to have the worldwide community of classic car owners united to fight prostate cancer and mental health problems among men. By raising funds for the Movember foundation, both the DGR and DGD are working hard to prevent the men in our lives from dying young.
Last year marked the inaugural edition of The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive. Although this was planned to be a pilot edition to see if the formula needed improving, we still had 151 cities from 55 countries taking part, with a total of almost 4,300 classic cars joining us on the day of the Drive, raising close to $250,000 for Movember. This year we will drive on the 25th September worldwide.
