Spare Parts Scam Alert
A club member contacted us recently to express concern about being targeted by an international scammer after placing a wanted advertisement on our website. He had been targeted previously at considerable cost and wanted to alert fellow members. The name “Atwood Megan” was used
The scam artist seemed knowledgeable about the parts so one could easily be duped.
Please let us know if you’ve come across any confidence tricksters.

Online Club Permit Renewals
Vicroads has just launched a digital CPS renewal option.’
Vicroads will not process renewals more than 6 weeks prior to expiry.
Have renewals signed by a club permit officer as usual.
The document can then be scanned and uploaded for payment online.

DS Auxiliary Air Valve Repair
The auxiliary air valve in the EFI system is a vital component and new ones are very difficult to source now.
David Sutcliffe has found a way of refurbishing the working parts of this device. See his article titled “Repair of the DS 23 EFI Auxiliary Air Valve” in the Tech Tips section.

Alternatively payment can be made by cheque or Post Office money order made out to “Vicroads”

Covid-19: Use of Club Permit Vehicles
Message from AOMC: USE OF CLUB PERMIT VEHICLES
The only reasons Victorians should be leaving their home are for: obtaining food and supplies, medical care and care giving, exercise, and work or education.
While you can continue to use your club permit vehicle, its use must only be in connection with one of the above activities (as well as being in accordance with the usual rules for use of club permit vehicles).
Victoria Police have powers to enforce social distancing laws and can issue fines of up to $1,652 for individuals who don’t comply.
